Last year EXPO boasted over 4,700 attendees. According to the West Virginia Press, EXPO is known to have over 300 vendors, as well as 85-plus seminars, meetings and other learning opportunities that cover a variety of subject matters, such as “building technology to structural design, source water protection and storage tank rules and regulations.”
Last year’s four head sponsors included WV Society of Professional Engineers, West Virginia Chapter of the American Institute of Architects, and the WV Utility Contractors Association and Contractors Association of West Virginia, along with 24 co-sponsors. With 465 indoor booths and 4 outdoor exhibitors with 14 booths, EXPO offers a wealth of industry excitement, knowledge, and networking opportunities.
Along with EXPO, the sponsors host a WV Marcellus and Manufacturing Development Conference (MMDC) within the convention, and this year it’s the 6th annual MMDC. With over 85 seminars, there is certainly a topic of interest for every attendee. The WV Press spoke with organizers of the trade show last year, who said “some of the most trusted names in the industry will conduct seminars; EXPO has something for every interest and discipline.” This year’s seminar line-up includes Water Accountability via Fixed Base Meter Reading, Flow Measurement, Chemical Handling, and Clean Water Act Basics.
This year’s other EXPO highlights include: the EXPO Wing Eating Challenge for Children’s Home Society of West Virginia, EXPO After Hours Reception, and B.O.B. Business Over Breakfast where you have the opportunity to meet top industry professionals over complimentary bacon and eggs. Visit the EXPO website for more details!
WVCC will have a booth set up at EXPO on both days, March 22 and 23. Stop by our exhibit (Booth #323) in the Grand Hall! We can't wait to see you.
